In a welcome move, the fuel price decreased Tuesday midnight, bringing relief to a lot of motorists and commuters. The decrease announced by the department of minerals and petroleum resources will see petrol prices dropping by 15 cent per litre while the diesel prices will decrease by 28 and 17 cents per litre depending on the grades.
The fuel decrease of prices has been welcomed by the motorist with much positive impact on consumers on the economy. “This is a relief to the motorist since the petrol price decreased by 15 cents, our customers are happy to hear the dropping of the petrol price”, said Andrew Skhosana the petrol attendance at Caltex.
The fuel decrease is expected to have a positive impact on consumers, who will now have more disposable income to spend on the other goods, needs and services. “This petrol decrease is helping us a lot to us staying far because , me going to my place from my work place I used to spend R400 on petrol a day now it has decreased a lot because again I now use R290 to R310 a day of which it helps a lot” said Jaxon Molekane a motorist.Another motorist , Glad Mthembu noted that the decrease of petrol had a good impact on him “The decreased really welcomed us by surprise , especially in this current economy we are within ,I will be able to travel long distance at take my family to road trip without thinking of breaking my bank balance”.
The fuel price decrease has brought so much relief to motorists and commuters, who are now enjoying lower fuel prices this August.
